Genesys is a role playing system designed for flexibility and adaptability, specifically tooled to work with any setting imaginable. Why's the two different downloads, trying to figure out difference between them. One is the book that was released, the other contains the errata and other fixes. I'm really liking the look of this system as opposed to Fate Core. The narrative dice thing is amazing. Can't wait to get my hands on the new L5R, because Rokugan is one of the few pre-made settings I can be bothered to run out of the box. But the narrative dice are what sold me.

Yes, except for its lack of a Force die. The Genesys dice do not include one nor anything like it, nor does the Genesys die-rolling app. You would have to use a separate die or work something out with a standard rpg die. For any who have concerns over just how flexible this is, There was a GI Joe game ran with this at Gamer Nation Con 5 this last weekend, and it went marvelous. I can't open the pdf with Moon Reader pro on my Android, but I can with others readers.
Any one else has this issue? This technical glitch aside, I juste love this game and the design of the book! I had the same issue and had to address to the customer's service but to no avail. Secondly, being a 3rd party program for pdf, it does not read the image like adobe acrobat, so it must have something to do with password and special treatment that pdfs get before downloading it from the website. Can I play a game with one game master and one player. As the game master, you are in complete control of every aspect of the game.
Especially since you will be responsible for creating every bad guy and scenario from scratch under this system, at least for now. As a side note to Ron B's completely correct answer, with the nature of the dice mechanic this could be played without a game master, and a completely cooperative story could be told with both player's telling their stories, and making the world as they go along.
FFG and a very few other companies are on the bleeding edge of tabletop RPG tech, and it really is tech because of the power and versatility of the designs. The main reason for this is there is not enough talents and not enough support in this book for a Supers game. So if your only buying this for that be cautious. It's a great game and a great system yet right now it has some way to go to become a Superhero game.

Yes very much looking forward to a full coverage Andro'verse core book. Genesys on its own is worth it just not as a supers game or a detailed say transhuman setting but you can fantasy genesys core rulebook pdf free download basic sci fi out of the book RAW so its worth picking up if you like the FG house system. Sort of annoyed that L5R isn't a plug and play to Genesys.
